Where the Happily Ever Afters Are Always In Color

TreasureBanner

Welcome to Day 3! I was thinking about what I wanted to share with you all this week, this glorious WEEK OF TREASURE, and while there’s plenty more coming down the pipeline (TREASURE has a playlist, people. oh, it’s coming) today I wanted to share some New Adult authors I think readers should keep an eye out for. After all, TREASURE is only one novella. I’m sure you’ll want more to read once you’re through with Trisha and Alexis’s introduction to love and computer science.

I’ll keep this brief so you can go stock your shelves or your ereader. Oh and there’s a chance to win one of three copies of TREASURE down there at the bottom. :D

VHS-TSB-KINDLE

Victoria H. Smith – Victoria has spent the last few years spreading the gospel of New Adult fiction and I love her for her it. I’d start with THE SPACE BETWEEN (its $0.00 on kindle right now) and then just roll around in a pile of the rest of her titles. :D

BSB-Homecoming

Nell Stark – Nell brings a raw honesty to her characters that I love. Homie knows how to write a coming story too. I started with HOMECOMING, but THE PRINCESS AFFAIR involves an actual princess so…(Lesbian/Multicultural)

obgcover

Rhonda Helms – Rhonda has been another amazing advocate for the New Adult community. I’m looking forward to her next title, BREAK YOUR HEART, but you can pick her other titles like ONE BROKE GIRL and TWO LITTLE LIES now. (Hetero/Multicultural)

take-what-you-want

Jeanette Grey – Grey knows how to combine the right amount of angst with the perfect among of sexy times. I loved Jeanette’s TAKE WHAT YOU WANT and am equally excited to check out her gay NA romance, GET WHAT YOU WANT. (Hetero/Gay)

Dark Paradise cover

Angie Sandro – So Angie came on the scene with one of my favorite covers of the year. Covers sell books, people, but when I read the blurb for DARK PARADISE I knew I had to have this book in my life. DP is available now, along with DARK SACRIFICE and DARK REDEMPTION, #2 and 3 in the series. (Hetero/Multicultural)

BSB-LoveLife

Rachel Spangler – For me, Rachael’s stories nail setting and emotion while grounding the reader’s experience in everyday life. Check out her title, LoveLife with a main character who I found to be HUGELY relatable. (Lesbian)

BSB-PutAwayWet

Bonus Recommendation:

PUT AWAY WET by Susan Smith. This erotic NA romance is SMOKING HOT! read it.(Lesbian)

So tell me what NEW ADULT you’ve been reading. Got something on your TBR list you can’t wait to check out? OR better yet, are you aching for a pairing, character or situation you haven’t seen yet? HIT THOSE COMMENTS! I’m giving away THREE copies of Treasure today!

 TREASURE IS HERE!

BSB-Treasure

But before I get to that, over to your right, you’ll see a little subscribey box. Go ahead and throw your email address in there, and receive alerts to new blog posts and updates to rebekahweatherspoon.com. So say you’re not stalking me all over social media, you’ll still get a little nudge when something new from me hit stores. YAY!

As I was saying, 2014 has been very strange, but very good. Where 2013 seemed very unproductive for me, this year I’ve been putting out these novellas that I’m very proud of.

The idea for TREASURE came to me during one of my many nights hanging out on Tumblr where I commune with lost of queer women of color like myself. I saw a whole in the New Adult market and wanted to contribute something for the brown girls. I love Trisha and Alexis dearly and I hope readers enjoy the start of their journey together.

Treasure is available now from Bold Strokes Books.

ALSO! October is QUEER ROMANCE MONTH. Check out the QRM blog and twitter feed for posts about the word on queer romance fiction. :)

 29 Days of TAMED!

08.05.2014

6x9_2Front_EN

This has been a pretty eventful summer. At Her Feet won a thing and FIT (#1 in the Fit Trilogy) has been received rather well, if I do say so. The rest of 2014 will be jam packed for me. Let me give you an idea.

August 14 – All You Can Eat release (features my short story “Burn”)

September 2 - TAMED (#2 in the FIT Trilogy) release

September 14 (12:30pm) – I’ll be speaking and signing at Catalyst Con

October 14 – Treasure release

November – I’ll be speaking and signing at BentCon

December 2 – SATED (#3 in the FIT Trilogy) release

Pretty much you can expect something from me every month for the rest of the year, but for now, FOR NOW, let’s get into a little TAMED.

The next 29 days with be filled with more goodies, giveaways, and of course, the #LineAday which will always go up on my twitter first @11:00am PST. Today I want to introduce you to my lovely couple, Nailah and Armando.

N_n_A

If you’ve read FIT you might remember Armando, Grant’s best friend and business partner. If you haven’t read FIT, go read FIT.  :) Nailah is Egyptian, living in Beverly Hills with her family, or in her family’s pool house to be exact. Fitness professional Armando is Mexican-American, not looking for a love exactly, but finding it in all the wrong places. I LOVED writing these two and I can’t wait for you guys to dive into their story.

Over the weekend the Golden Crown Literary Society held their annual conference in Portland, OR. Click here to read up on GCLS and the amazing things they do for queer women’s fiction and creative non-fiction.  Saturday night the awards ceremony was held. At Her Feet was a finalist for lesbian erotica.

 Cover Reveal!

05.16.2014

It has been a wild few months, let me tell you. But I won’t bore you with those details. How about I just give you the first look at FIT’s official cover! This baby looked so good on my iPad last night, I shed a few tears.

fit-1

FIT is just two weeks away. Stay tuned for more reveals and giveaways!

And here are the lineAday bits so far, if you haven’t been keeping up ;)

#1 – It was tempting to fall flat on the floor once Margaret called their final time, but Violet had to get out of there.

#2 – She knew when a guy was flirting, and Grant climb-me-like-a-tree-and-shake-all-my-branches Gibson was definitely flirting.

#3 – He scanned her eyes for a sign of silent hesitation, but when she released a short breath, almost a sigh, he knew she was on board

#4 – She could run, but he’d already seen her. Grant waved. Violet wavedback. Oh God. What the hell was she doing?

#5 – When he slipped the black fabric over her eyes, Violet took a deep breath.

# 6 – This girl-talk was about to get serious. Violet had to tell someone what was going on with Grant or she was going to burst.

#7 – Grant wasnt opposed to mixing his primary business with pleasure. He’d slept with clients before and he was sure he’d do it again.

#8 – He was used to socialites and actresses, not East Coast girls with childhood complexes…

#9 – “She liked to steal. She maxed out two of my credit cards and then, when I broke up with her, she tried to take my dog.”

#10 – “Spread your thighs.” She pulled her knees apart, making room for him to step a bit closer. “Wider.”
